New Partnership to Combat Summer Learning Loss

EFC is excited to be partnering with the Springboard Collective, a national non-profit dedicated to closing the reading achievement gap.  As stated on the Springboard website, ‘Research finds that two-thirds of the achievement gap among high school students is attributable to summer learning loss in elementary school’, and Springboard addresses this through a unique summer program that combines literacy instruction with intense parental coaching and engagement to support their children’s learning.  This fully aligns with EFC’s focus on parent empowerment, and we are excited to be part of Springboards expansion to the west coast, thanks to the support of the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and the Rogers Family Foundation.
