MATHEMATICS COORDINATOR

Ø Work strategically with the Chief Academic Officer to ensure effective and consistent coordination and implementation of all aspects of EFC’s mathematics program.

Ø Create and facilitate effective and timely professional development for teachers, ILT, and administrators that has a direct positive impact on classroom instruction by incorporating collaborative work among colleagues, training on best practices, and increasing mathematical content knowledge.

Ø Ensure teachers have the adopted curriculum and other needed materials (assessments, manipulative, resources) to be able to fully implement the mathematics instructional program.

Ø Provide teachers with highly focused coaching support with the intention of improving instructional delivery (observational feedback, demo lessons, cognitive planning support) and student engagement.

Ø Provide a user friendly analysis of mathematics data through the correlation of assessments with the California state standards, curriculum, instruction, and the OARS reporting system.

Ø Promote a deeper mathematical content knowledge for all stakeholders so that they may provide additional mathematics support for all students (family university night, parent meetings, ACCLAIM).

Ø Lead the development and implementation of the before and after school intervention program.
