CONTROLLER

 

Ø Manage accounting database and financials including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash receipts, the General Ledger including all Bank and investment account monthly reconciliations and the monthly payroll upload from ADP.

Ø Prepare financial statements and reports for the Board, State, County, District, Auditors and Donors.

Ø Insure timely submission for State Teachers Retirement System reporting and deposits to the County.

Ø Track Federal and State restricted revenues and expenditures and the associated Compliance and reporting requirements.

Ø Prepare and distribute Vendor 1099’s by the IRS deadline and file the appropriate 1096 document to the IRS.

Ø Work strategically with the Director of Finance and Operations to prepare the organizational budget and the monitoring of actuals against the budget to confirm reserve targets are being met.

Ø Manage the procurement system including issuance of Purchase Orders from the Budget Managers and Office Managers and vendor creation and vendor files management as well as asset management and depreciation.

Ø Provide outside auditors all requested documentation at audit as well as all information required to prepare the IRS 990 form and the California State Form 199.

Ø Manage strategically with the Chief Operations Officer all company insurance policies as well as any claims not related to workman’s compensation.

Ø Create, where appropriate, written policies related to Finance and Operations.

Ø Manage the fraud reporting requirements for the Organization.

 

Ø Manage PowerSchool and all related reporting requirements.

Ø Strategically manage and maintain phone system along with the Technology Manager.
